Clients must first register with Monterey Salinas Transit; Approval is needed to enroll in program; process takes approximately three weeks. Van that accommodates wheelchairs is available for medical appointments. Clients may book rides as much as 14 days in advance, with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Van does not offer same day service, even in emergencies.

Rides Reimbursed Taxi Program Some clients prefer to use a taxi; RIDES passengers can get partial reimbursement. After paying the taxi driver, client must get complete receipt. RIDES will reimburse one-half of the fare, or a maximum of $45 per month.
